HERE IS WHY YOUR CHILDREN LOVE YOUR BEARD
Hey there everyone, and welcome to today's TBS beard blog.
Any bearded Dad out there will already have a list full of reasons why their children seem to love Daddy's beard, so today I wanted to highlight a few of my favourites in today's beard blog.
So let us begin today's post, smartly titled - Here is Why Your Children Love Your Beard...
YOUR BEARD IS SOMETHING TO PULL ON DURING FEEDING TIME!
When my children were much smaller and were bottle fed, my girls quickly learned that if the held a large handful of face whiskers it would be a sure fire way to keep me holding them before, during and after feeding time.
It was so cute when my youngest daughter, Phoebe learned this trick, so much so everytime I held her she would quickly reach out for my beard.
It did not always end so well, as sometimes her grip would be stronger than I had anticipated and I would end up having small handfuls of beard hair tugged out of my face, but it was always cute nevertheless.
THEY CAN DECORATE YOUR FACE FUZZ WITH GLITTER AND BOBBLES AND ALL THAT FUN STUFF!
If you have daughters and a marvelous beard, the chances are you've fallen victim to a 'Daddy Make-over' which usually results in your girls whipping out the children's makeup and hair accessories to in order to 'make you look all pretty like a princess'.
My girls love adding clip-on hair extensions to my beard, which usually gets a few giggles around the home.
Of course, I wouldn't dream of leaving the house following one of these special makeovers, but they sure are fun, but I refuse to agree to the girly nail polish and pink makeup.
YOU JUST WOULD'NT LOOK LIKE DAD WITHOUT YOUR BEARD!
If you've had a beard for a long time, your children probably admire your face fuzz more than you would know.
For example, I've had a beard or at least some form of facial hair for many years now, and a few years ago I had a trimming disaster which left me with no choice other than to shave and start all over from scratch.
I went to pick up my children from school shortly afterward, and they were truly speechless at the 'nakey face' Dad who had greeted them from the school gates. My daughter nearly cried and refused to walk holding my hand, it was that serious.
You only have to look on YouTube to see how devastated children get when Daddy decides to shave, so here's what you should do. NEER SHAVE! Your kids will not approve!
THEY CAN DECORATE YOUR FACE FUR LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE DURING THE HOLIDAYS!
Every year since I can remember, my children have jolly well enjoyed bringing the seasonal festivities to my facial hair, in the form of decorating my fuzz with glitter, baubles, tinsel, and even Christmas lights!
Each Christmas we try our best to 'up the game' and do things bigger and better than the year previous, but I must say, it has become a touch tricky to top things each Christmas.
You can become as creative as you like, there's snow it a can, glitter baubles, musical lights, the possibilities are really endless!
