LET'S TALK ABOUT SPLIT ENDS AND HOW TO TREAT THEM

Happy Hump Day everyone! I am pretty sure that is what all the cool kids are calling Wednesday on Instagram and Facebook, right?

Today I wanted to revisit a topic that I most often get asked about in regards to beard care 101. Beard spilt ends, and how to treat and prevent them from happening in the first place. So without any further delay let us begin today's blog with Split Ends And How Best To Prevent Them...

SPLIT ENDS HAPPEN TO THE BEST OF US!

Firstly, finding beard split ends happens to just about all of us at some point or another when growing out our facial hair. They don't have to spell ultimate disaster and you can treat and prevent having further outbursts returning in the near future.

So, if you do suddenly see higher numbers of splitting damaged hairs don't fire off of the deep end in a blind panic, it can be treated, and here's how...

NOT TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOUR BEARD WON'T HELP MATTERS!

Split ends tend to formulate in higher numbers when we do not take good care of our facial hair in the beginning. If we forget to use our beard oil or balm, if we over-use hair straighteners and hair dryers upon our beards, the hairs will eventually dry out and become very weak, in turn causing the follicle to begin to split and damage.

It is important to note, that a split end itself cannot be repaired directly, but the hair can still be saved as long as you spot it soon enough. How? By trimming off the split end to leave a fresh cut healthy hair follicle in it's place.

So, don't run for the hills when it comes time to have a much needed barbershop style trim every once in awhile. Instead look at it at a little light beardsmen maintenance.

FIND A BEARD CARE ROUTINE THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND STICK WITH IT!

When you have a practical beard care routine in place the key is to enforce it each and every day. Skipping this process and not following a basic care routine will do your face fur no favours in the long run.

Keep your whiskers clean and dirt free formost, then apply yourself a dash of beard oil to help keep essential moisture on your skin and facial hair follicles, helping further protect your beard from the day to day elements.

There goes another blog for today my Brothers and Sisters, as always we encourage you to leave us your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.

And until next time, Beard on brothers, Beard on...
