Here at 'The Beard Struggle' facial hair means more to us than we could ever begin to verbally express. Choosing to sprout out your 'facial gruff' is not something we take lightly. We pride ourselves on our wonderous man-manes and take great pleasure when it comes to keeping them in great shape, whilst providing you with all the right tools and premium products to do so. Today, let's discuss 4 Reasons Growing A Beard Could Be The Greatest Thing You'll Ever Do...
COMPLIMENTS WILL BE COMING IN THICK AND FAST!
When any man first starts off on the road to 'beardism' (Yep, I totally just made that word up!) he will often be greeted by many of opinions from those around him. Although you might receive the odd knock every now and then, once your beard begins to flourish out and take shape you'll receive much higher levels of kind words and beard compliments. It's no secret that the lovely ladies certainly dig a beard, and they're not too shy on letting you know either! So buckle up my fellow 'beardy'. You're about to become 'Mr Popular'!
YOU'LL SAVE A PRETTY PENNY AND A WHOLE LOT OF TIME WHEN YOU GROW A BEARD!
Just think of the time you'll save when first choosing to grow out some face fluff! We're often raised to believe that clean shaven is clean, and the said thing to do. Whereas beards are often viewed as scruffy, dirty and unkempt. Well, times have thankfully changed and moved forward since I was a kid. Beards may still come attached with a certain stigma, but thankfully society are a touch more welcoming than they used to be. So, just think of the time you'll soon recuperate when it comes to not having to shave anymore. Then think of the extra money you'll also save by not needing to buy well overly priced razors and shave foams/creams, because let's be honest, they're protected in a tagged security box in the store for a reason, that reason being they're too damn expensive! But now you can kiss goodbye to the hefty prices and enjoy growing out a beard to be proud of.
YOU'LL MEET LIKE-MINDED BEARDED GENTLEMEN IN NEXT TO NO TIME!
What started as a couple of days worth of stubble, soon becomes a decent length of facial forest. Then you decide to snap your new look and share it on Instagram. Usually with some sort of quirky beard related hashtag like #BeardLife. Then before you know it, like minded bearded fellows soon start to take notice of your uploads, and might even throw you a like every now and again. Then in no time you've discovered a mass following of the fellow beardy kind, who just like you, started out by sharing a pic or two. There are plenty of amazing folks within the bearded community, and thankfully you don't have to search far to find them. The internet is a marvelous place to virtually meet some outstanding folks. So, why not take a moment to hit up certain hashtags on both Twitter and Instagram, and who knows where it might take you!
YOUR KIDS LOVE YOUR BEARD JUST AS MUCH, IF NOT MORE THAN YOU DO!
Ok, so your kids might not be heavy in the beard compliment department. Being a father of three little monsters myself the only attention my beard gets is from my middle daughter, who often compliments my ginger furry face once she has finished mutating it with hair bobbles, clips, grips and everything in between. But if you were to suddenly shave away your furry chops with little to no announcement in doing so, you might just be a tad surprised by your childrens disapproval. A good few years ago I had a D.I.Y beard grooming accident which left me with little choice other than to shave my 'chin strap' style beard off and start over. I had no intention on doing this, so it came as a rather huge unwanted surprise to my family. Even my wife could not hide her disapproval, despite trying to be extra polite about it all. I later picked up my (at the time) two kids from school. My eldest boy glared at me, almost as if I'd shot the family cat or something of equal value, then asked 'Why Dad? Just why??' before walking a mile ahead of me with his friends all the way home. My daughter was equally as burnt by the whole scenario, and reluctantly held my hand with heavy tears in her eyes as we strolled home that afternoon. Honestly, It was a mistake I'll not be making again, EVER. Just take a quick search on YouTube with the headline 'Dad shaves off beard, kids reaction.' and you'll see for yourself the devastation caused by nakey faces. Which further concludes hairless faces are for women and children, not for men.
