5 THINGS THAT EVERY BEARDED GENT CAN RELATE WITH

Good day my fellow bearded men and face fuzz admirers. As we reach the 'hump day' of the week how has your week been so far? all splendid I hope. Today I thought we should focus on a few topics that many bearded men can relate with, granted some maybe more than others.

So without further delay let's discuss 5 Things That Every Bearded Gent Can Relate With...

YOU LOOK NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY SIMILAR TO YOUR PHOTO I.D!

Remember that photo I.D you carry on your person to silence those past days when you got ID'd at the bar with you dudes? Well, you can pretty much guarantee that you don't look nothing like that nakey faced boy anymore. It is rather fascinating how much of a difference to ones appearance gracefully sporting facial hair can be.

On my driver's license I.D I look like a potato with googly eyes, thankfully not many photos of me exist from that era, and are probably left forgotten in the dark realms of dodgy photo I. D images, of which let's be honest, is most likely for the best.

EATING CERTAIN FOODS IS A RATHER TRICKY TASK FOR THE BEARDED!

Here's one I'm sure we can all relate with, eating some of the tastiest foods can prove almost impossible when you pack a manly face mane. Ice cream, spaghetti, mac and cheese and stacker burgers are some of the trickiest foods to joyfully nosh down. And if you manage to get a mouthful of tasty grub without an equal measure of beard whiskers you've done well my friend.

As if eating your moustache is not already testing enough here's another issue, you'll be sure to splash a little somethin' over your face whiskers too. Ice cream, melted cheese, sauce, you name it, it can become easily caught up and can even sometimes go unnoticed. Here's a little tip, carrying an extra napkin is a good thing, trust me on that.

A NEW LEVEL OF RESPECT CAN BE FOUND AMONGST YOUR FELLOW BEARDED FOLK!

There is an unwritten 'Bro code' shared amongst bearded gentlemen, a whole Brotherhood of respect that many of us bearded gents share. Admiring another blokes beard is not considered at all weird, honest.

In fact if anything it's pretty admirable as we know how much time, hard work and dedication it takes to flourish and maintain a magical face forest. So, whenever you pass by a fellow bearded gent in the street, be sure to give him a respectable approving nod of the head and acknowledge the unwritten 'Bro code' in which we beardsmen all share.

NOT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THE BEARD LIFE, AND THAT'S FINE!

Sadly not everyone you meet or associate with in your day to day life will understand your desire to grow and keep facial hair. Some folks just aren't that understanding at all. For me it was my oldest Brother who did not dig my face fuzz any which way, and made it very clear of his disapproval. My mother wasn't all that sure of it either, but that's fine.

I did not mind at all, but negative comments coming from total strangers I did find a little strange. It seems people don't like to hold back on things they either approve of or disapprove of in this life. In fact I've had more than my fair share of disconcerting comments from random (and usually drunk) folks at the bar who tell me how much older I appear with facial hair, to which I reply this isn't such a bad thing in my honest opinion.

Usually you'll meet the odd family member who doesn't understand fascination with face fur, but that's also ok, we're all different in our own right, and being individual certainly is not a bad thing for anybody if you ask my opinion.

TAKING CARE OF THAT FURRY FACE OF YOURS HAS BECOME A PRIORITY!

Growing out your face whiskers is only the beginning of the bearded life you choose. Taking great care of those whiskers can become almost a part time job to many. Washing with the correct washes and conditioners, then drying and applying beard oils and balms is a technique that must be followed in order to better protect your facial hair from drying out and falling victim to poor humidity and weather elements.

It sure takes plenty of time and TLBC (tender loving beard care) to grant optimal results and an all round healthier man mane. I find I can sometimes take the longest getting ready amongst my wife and my children, which isn't something I like to boast about, as I am fairly sure it is supposed to be the other way around, right?

Combing out those knotted hairs and tatted lugs is also a must for any beardy, and doing so will grant you fuller, better manageable locks for many years to come. Take it from me, carrying some sort of comb is a great idea when packing a furry face nd will come in handy on many of occasions. Wouldn't you agree?
