A POCKET SIZED GUIDE TO GREAT BEARD CARE

The internet is a wonderful place jam packed to the rafters with really useful information on just about any given subject known to man, including beard care.

Today, I wanted to share with you my own guide on things you should and should not be doing in the form of a handy little guide. So, here is A Pocket Sized Guide To Great Beard Care...

When you shop for the perfect oil and balm to use within your facial hair it is important to discover something that gives exceptional protection and works great for both you and your beard.

Do not be tempted to save yourself a penny or two when it comes to the price, as more often than not you'll get exactly what you pay for, so invest wisely my friends.

Our 'TBS' range have continued to amaze our customers since first launching, as we continue to provide a premium product as well as an exceptional service to each and every one of our Brothers. Visit our exclusive store for more information on our range and discover what works best for you and your viking beard.

USE BEARD CONDITIONER WHEN YOU WASH THOSE WHISKERS!

When it comes to washing our beards we often forget one important element of the process, conditioning!

We often slap plenty of wash through our face fluff, completely forgetting the real benefits of using a balanced facial hair conditioner. Not only will this help soften and control your face fuzz, but the results actually lower the chances of meeting any unwanted knots, tangles and/or split ends as well. Check our what we have for you in our store here.

REFRAIN FROM USING HAIR DRYERS AND STRAIGHTENERS WHEN POSSIBLE!

This pointer often comes under heavy debate whenever I have talked about it in previous blog posts. But for me, the use of hair straighteners and hair dryers on your beard is a huge NO in my personal opinion.

Think about it, these devices were never made with your facial hair in mind. So, using them is entirely at the user's own risk. Hair and heat do not mix, they never have and they ever will. Hair dryers are good for the hair on your head as they provide quick results. But choosing to use them on your face fluff could further damage your whiskers without even realising you are doing so.

Dry, brittle spots may begin to form within your beard, and split ends are almost certain to arise too. Is it worth the risk? I think not!

A LIGHT TRIM WILL KEEP THOSE NASTY SPLIT ENDS AT BAY!

Another scary factor to many furry faced bearded gents is the idea of having a little trim every now and again. Me, myself and I can totally relate to this, as the idea of chopping away at something I have been working so hard on growing seems rather ludicrous, but in truth it does actually help with the overall health and wellbeing of your beard.

If you have hit a 'slow grow' phase where your face fuzz appears to have stopped growing, it might be because a trim could be exactly what is needed.

A hair with a split end will never grow any longer as it should, instead it will only split back toward the center of the hair, making both you and your beards like difficult. So catching these little buggers and snipping them gone every once in awhile can only be seen as a good thing.

That sees today's beard blog come to a close. If you have a beardy related topic you would like to see discussed in a future blog post then let us have it in the comments section you'll find provided below.

And until next time, Beard on Brothers, Beard on...
