4 RULES FOR GROWING A HEALTHY BEARD
Happy Monday my fellow beardos! I sure hope that your weekend was fun, chilled yet adventurous for all the right reasons!
Today, I thought I would gift your eyes to a little light reading full of juicy tips on how to maintain a splendid beard upon one's face. So let today's blog begin as we discuss 4 Rules For Growing A Healthy Beard...
Remember gentlemen, it is never 'too soon' to begin practicing a healthy beardsmen grooming routine, this of course includes using the finest beard oils and balms possible, to help give your whiskers a fighting kick start.
Even if you only have a week's worth of stubble on your face your skin and hair follicles will benefit from the use of oils and/or balms. As in doing so you are gifting your skin the advantage of added moisture and protection from the daily elements such as high to low humidity levels as well as protection from the harsh sun UV rays. Much like enriching the soil on a compost heap.
So, don't ever feel it is too soon to start practicing great grooming habits my Brother.
DO NOT OVERCOMB OR FUSS ABOUT YOUR NEWFOUND WHISKERS!
One of the easiest bad habits to fall into is to overcomb your magical face fuzz when it begins to reach a suitable combing length. We also tend to over-fuss our faces and manhandle our whiskers at any given opportunity. I am guilty of fondling my fuzz every time I find myself in deep thought.
Whilst a light fondle every now and again is rather harmless, if you fall into a habit of over-combing or touching your face fur a little too often you'll be stripping any natural moisture from your beard to your hands without even meaning to do so.
Combing your beard too often will also heighten your chances of causing added split ends and tangles from forming, which is the complete opposite to what you are trying to achieve in the first place.
DO COMB THROUGH YOUR FACE RUG TO KEEP THINGS IN GOOD SHAPE!
When we say do not overcomb your face rug, we are not suggesting you do not comb things at all. In fact combing each day is pretty important to help keep any knots and tangles invading your marvelous beard in the first place.
I suggest you brush through after you apply a little product, as this will not only help for a much smoother combing experience, but will also help even out your oils and balms throughout your furry face forest for a much better application.
DO NOT PULL AWAY AT ANY KNOTS OR TANGLES YOU MIGHT FIND!
Another bad habit many of us are guilty of, me included, is pulling away at any beard knots and tangles we may feel out.
It's almost instinctive to want to remove a found troublesome hair, be it a knot or a split end when we discover them. But if you snap them out with your bare hands you are only going to further produce a bad beard practice rather than help eliminate a the original problem.
I find a light trim every few months helps to keep these troubled hairs from forming in great numbers, and a good trim will also help save these hairs rather than further damage them.
So, that sees Mondays blog come to a sweet close for today my friends. As always I urge you all to get involved and leave us a cheeky comment or two in the comments section you'll find kindly provided below for you to use.
And until next time, Beard on Brothers, Beard on...
