EMINEM APPEARS SPORTING A NEW STUBBLE BEARD AND THE INTERNET GOES CRAZY

By far one of the greatest rappers of all time, Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem or his evil alter ego Slim Shady, recently sent the internet into a viral meltdown after making a rare public appearance sporting a dark, stubbly beard.

The Detroit rap star rarely shows up at public events and lives a somewhat reclusive lifestyle, usually writing chart topping bangers in the comfort of his home based recording studio.

Shady's track 'Rap God' shook the world record books back in 2015, with the most words 'spat' in a music single, totalling a staggering 1,560 words in 6 minutes and 4 seconds. Mr Mathers has changed his appearance a few times during his music career, after exploding onto the scene back in February of 1999 following the launch of his debut album 'The Slim Shady LP' after former NWA's Dr Dre signed a recording deal with Marshall to join forces with Interscope Records.

I recall spending most of my teens royally pissing off my neighbourhood with my sub woofers blasting through my bedroom windows driving my entire street 'bezerk' with Eminem's shocking lyrics. In fact I was the first in the city of Derby where I live to obtain a noise asbo (Anti Social Behaviour Order) on a house because of it. True story, Bro.

Much like most of his career controversy has always surround the artist, after a stint of addiction to prescribed drugs, Eminem piled on the pounds, then axed his infamous bottle bleach blonde hair he was world famous for sporting.

When the 'Beard Shady' image first popped up on my Twitter timeline I must admit I was a little taken back and instantly assumed the photo may have been messed about with on photoshop or a similar photo editing tool, but after a quick Google search in the news it was proven to be in fact, true.

Although many may argue that a little dark stubble doesn't amount to much of a beard, I feel it is a very good starting point to continue on forward in this 'beard game', and who knows, given a little more time we might see Mr Mathers 'Grow his beard out, and just weird out', (extra kudos if you understood the meaning of the last line!) although people on social media seem to have mixed reviews if the newfound face fuzz fits in with Eminem's usual image.

I, of course think it looks rather dapper, and heavily recommend that Marshall continues on down the furry face road. The team here at 'The Beard Struggle' would love to hook Shady up with his first 'TBS' Ultimate kit. So if by some miracle, Eminem should be reading this, be sure to hit us up!
