POPULAR BEARDS OF TODAY

Our beards often represent our character. A way to display ourselves in today's society without giving a single care of fitting the 'clean shaved gentleman' mould of yesteryear. A lot like a movement if you will; to express who we are. But like the facial fluff wearers themselves beards come in all different shapes, colours and sizes. Here's a list of the most popular beards of today...

THE STUBBLE

Stubble can be obtained by having a lazy weekend. It's the first form of facial hair you'll grow; and some people label this as 'designer stubble'. I for one am not a huge fan of this look once it has been maintained. Whilst i appreciate we all have to start the beard journey somewhere, this stage for me doesn't fall under the 'Beard Umbrella bracket, and should pass in merely weeks.

THE GOATEE BEARD

The goatee has been around for many years and became most popular in the 90's. It originates back to Ancient Rome & Greece, where the Ancient God of nature; Pan rocked an impressive goatee growth. Although still popular today amongst the bearded community it isnt as popular as it once was.

THE VERDI BEARD

There are many variations of the Verdi beard, which is arguably one the most popular beards you'll see gentlemen sporting today. Best described the Verdi is a groomed shorter than a full beard style and is most commonly accompanied by a tidy imperial mustache which is believed to have originated from back in the 1900's. UFC Welterweight champion 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor sported a great example of the Verdi beard back in early 2014.

THE FULL BEARD

Without a doubt the full beard has become the most commonly worn beard over the past few years. Admired by many it's often wrongly assumed to be the easiest beard style to grow and maintain. Full beards are my personal favourite to both wear and admire. But as with all beards daily routines are absolutely crucial in supporting your beards health. If you neglected the hair on your head it'd soon begin to look greasy and unkempt. Beards work in the same way. Brushing/combing are key to keeping your beard-manes tangle free, as well as applying a generous amount of beard balm/oil or both depending on your preferences. From balms, oils beard combs we have everything covered in our The Beard Struggle store!

And there we have it! another 'beardlog' post wrapped up! Thanks for taking the time to read!
